Here's that stationary star thing again, performed using ISO 3200 for 30 seconds. Rather than using a flashlight to illuminate the landscape features, this time I used some residual moonlight from a setting crescent moon. My night shots are timed around the phase of the moon, and I must carefully coordinate moonrise/moonset with sunrise/sunset times to make sure that the celestial features are cooperating seamlessly for the shot I want to make. I missed a good friend's wedding for these shots, so this is serious business, yo.
