This beautiful fellow is the Kea, an alpine parrot endemic to the South Island of New Zealand. It's a highly endangered species, with only about 5,000 left. Despite that, it's a highly inquisitive bird and very mischievous. They'll regularly be caught stealing things from people's camps and trying to pick the rubber off of roof racks and windshields, which they apparently find quite tasty.
