We were experiencing unseasonably warm temperatures for the middle of January, even for the South, and this riotous peacock at the plantation thought Spring had arrived and got a little itch in its pants. He was displaying like crazy and was chasing the hens all over the farm yard! The females would have nothing to do with him, however. Apparently the smarter sex, the girls knew that mating season was still months away. More on the peafowl later.
