Mount Washington over Big Lake
As essential as it is to be prepared for any landscape shoot, it's also important to sometimes just "see where the wind blows". I ran into many locked gates during my exploration of central Oregon in May, resulting in some unexpected detours. One of these diversions led to the discovery of this amazing vista of Mount Washington reflected over Big Lake. Since this perspective faces South, it was a prime opportunity to photograph the Milky Way, when the skies finally cleared at 2 AM. Be prepared... for whatever happens!
