Almost Made it to Paradise
I, like most photographers, am a great fan of all things that are decaying or decrepit. When I go to visit a place, especially a paradise-type of place, I often look for it's "dark side", the side that most tourists prefer not to acknowledge. And often I'll make a photograph and then think of a back story (completely fictional of course) that goes with it. This photo, "Almost Made it to Paradise", juxtaposes the decay element with the paradise element, and would tell a tale of a family that sails to Vieques, gets caught in a hurricane, and beaches on the island's beautiful shores. What ever became of them? Check the inside of the boat and find out. MWAAHAHAHA!
